House Brownie keeps track of what your household has, what you're out of, where to buy it, and where it lives β so it isn't all in one person's head. I built it for my own home and use it every day.
House Brownie is invite-only right now. If someone in your house is already here, ask them for an invite code and redeem it on the join page. No code? We're not taking public sign-ups right now.
That's most of what it's for.
See your whole home at a glance β everything tagged Full, Med, Low, or Out, updated by whoever touched it last.
Anything Low or Out β plus the things you always restock β lands on one shared list automatically.
Each item remembers which store carries it, so the list groups by shop and shows just what to grab where.
Give things a home β a room, a shelf, a bin β and find them again by searching or asking, instead of digging.
One price for your whole household. No per-seat fees, no auto-renewals.
You'll set your household up with an invite code β House Brownie is invite-only right now. Have one? Redeem it on the join page. Already have an account? Sign in.
Voice is an optional add-on, billed by use. Bring your own OpenAI key and it's free β you pay OpenAI directly, usually a few cents a month; it's the one I'd pick. Or choose Managed (cost + 15%) from a prepaid balance you top up in $20 chunks; it simply pauses at zero, so there are no surprise bills.
Talk or type. Add and update things by voice or typing β "we're low on olive oil, add batteries."
QR labels & scan. Print your own codes, stick them on shelves and bins, and scan to set status in a tap.
Multilingual households. The app itself comes in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese β and your household's things can carry a name in any two of 20 languages (Polish, German, Hindi, Ukrainian and more): say "milk" or "mleko" and it's the same thing, and everyone reads the list their own way. Your language missing? Email us.
At-store mode. Walk into a shop and it shows just what to grab there, grouped by store.
Instant undo. Any change β a tap or a whole voice note β reverts in one tap.
Calm by default. No push notifications, ever. The list waits until you're ready.
Shared data. Everyone works from the same list β it refreshes when you pick your phone back up.
Private. No ads, never sold, opt-in analytics only. Read the privacy page β

I built House Brownie because my household actually uses it. I'm not going to pretend it's magical, or the next big unicorn β it's just a genuinely useful little app for running a home. If it works for you, it works for you.
A few people saw it and asked for one for their own households, so I decided to open it up. That's the whole story. I'm just someone who needed an app built β and maybe you did too. Now you can have it.
It's invite-only right now. Ask someone in your house for a code, or sign in if you already have an account.
