Consumer dispute resolution (RAL)

In case of a consumer dispute, you may turn to an alternative-dispute-resolution entity (Lei 144/2015). The competent RAL centre is CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt); the full list of RAL entities is available at www.consumidor.pt. These mechanisms are voluntary and do not limit your right to go to court.

An electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) is available at www.livroreclamacoes.pt. Complaints submitted there are answered within 15 working days.
